Built around how hotels actually work

Robots take the repetitive runs. Your people stay with the guests.

Front office: requests without the walk

Towels, chargers, extra pillows and forgotten toothbrushes go up by robot. The agent keeps the desk staffed while the queue moves.

In-room dining that arrives hot

Courier carries up to four orders per trip in sealed compartments. The guest opens it with a PIN sent by phone call or SMS.

Housekeeping: linen moves itself

Linen follows attendants floor to floor and runs soiled linen to the chute. Fewer cart pushes, fewer back injuries.

F&B outlets: pool, lounge and banquet

Server runs plates and bussing trays so waitstaff can stay at the table.

Lobby: a welcome in 12 languages

Concierge greets arrivals, answers the common questions and walks guests to the lifts or the restaurant.

Engineering: clean floors overnight

Scrub cleans lobbies and corridors between 1 and 5 a.m., then docks itself. Daily reports show every square metre covered.
How it works

From first call to first delivery in two weeks

We handle mapping, lift wiring, PMS setup and staff training. Your team gives us one point of contact and a few hours on day one.

  1. 01

    Site survey (day 1, free)

An engineer walks your floors, checks Wi-Fi, lifts, door widths and thresholds, and recommends a fleet size.

  2. 02

Mapping and lift integration (days 2–7)

Robots map every floor overnight. We connect to your lifts through the manufacturer API or a small relay module.

  3. 03

    Systems and branding (days 5–10)

We link the PMS, phones and service-request tools, and fit your logo, colours and robot voice.

  4. 04

Staff training and go-live (days 11–14)

Two short sessions per shift. Front desk, housekeeping and engineering each learn their part in under an hour.

  5. 05

    Run and improve (ongoing)

We watch the fleet 24/7, push software updates monthly and review results with you every quarter.

Fleet console

Safety and privacy

Safe around guests, children and pets

Robots slow down near people, stop for anything in their path and never block a fire exit.

Certified hardware

CE, UKCA and FCC marked. Built to ISO 13482 for robots working around people and tested to UL 3300. Fire-alarm integration parks every robot clear of escape routes.

Privacy by design

Cameras are used for navigation only. Faces are blurred on the robot before any image leaves it. Data is handled under GDPR and Singapore's PDPA.

Fully insured

Every subscription includes damage, theft and third-party liability cover for the robots. If a robot scuffs a wall, we pay for the repair.
Sample deployments

What a rollout looks like

Three typical setups by hotel type. We model yours at the site survey.

Business hotel, 300 rooms

Two Couriers and a Scrub. Amenity and in-room dining runs move to robots; Scrub cleans the lobby and two meeting levels every night. Live in 14 days.

Beachfront resort, 450 keys

Porters meet airport transfers and take luggage to the room. Servers run drinks between the pool bar and cabanas. Six robots, live in 3 weeks.

Management company, 12 hotels

One Courier per hotel. Pilot at the flagship, then two hotels a week, with one monthly report across the portfolio. Full rollout in 8 weeks.
One partner for guest experience

Robots, photo booths and venue tech from one team

Monadex also builds Chalkak photo booths and interactive installations for hotels, malls and events. Bundle them on one contract, one console and one support line.

Lobby

Concierge robot plus a branded Chalkak photo booth for guests and weddings.

Ballroom

Server robots for banquets and AI photo booths for events.

Retail

Robots in mall corridors, booths on revenue share in the atrium.

Software

Chalkak OS and the fleet console under one account.

FAQs

001

Do the robots work with our lifts?

Yes. We connect to KONE, Otis, Schindler, Mitsubishi Electric and Hyundai lifts through the manufacturer's API. For older or other lifts we fit a small relay module in the lift controller. It takes about a day and doesn't affect normal lift use.

002

Our hotel is older. Will it still work?

Usually yes. Robots handle thresholds up to 2 cm, ramps up to 8° and corridors down to 80 cm wide. The site survey checks every route before you sign anything.

003

What happens if Wi-Fi drops?

Robots keep their maps on board and finish the current delivery. Each robot also carries a 4G backup connection, so the console stays live.

004

Are robots replacing our staff?

No. They take the long walks and heavy loads. Hotels use the time on guest service, upselling and faster room turns, and the job gets easier for the team.

005

How do guests get their delivery?

The robot calls the room phone or sends an SMS on arrival. The guest enters a PIN on the screen and the right compartment opens. Unclaimed items go back to the front desk after five minutes.

006

What if a robot breaks?

We usually fix it remotely within 15 minutes. If not, an engineer comes on site, within 4 hours on Pro, and a spare robot arrives within 48 hours if needed. Repairs and parts are always included.

007

How long is the contract?

The pilot has no contract. Subscriptions run 24 months, or 12 months at a 15% higher rate. You can add or remove robots at each anniversary.

008

Can we buy the robots instead?

Yes. Robots start at $14,900 to buy outright, with a care plan from $149 a month for software, monitoring and repairs. Portfolio customers can also lease to own.

009

What languages do the robots speak?

Twelve out of the box: English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Malay, Thai, Bahasa Indonesia, Vietnamese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, French and Spanish. We can record a custom voice for your brand.
