Case Study
PMI Collectible Trading Cards
Attendees became Scrum Masters, Risk Managers and Program Managers, printed on a card they kept.
The Project Management Institute (PMI) brings project-management practitioners together at conferences and chapter events, including its Singapore chapter.
At an event like this, members mostly talk to the speakers. The idea was to get them talking to each other, and to replace a forgettable giveaway with something that kept PMI in mind after the day.
The badge, turned into a collectible
We offered PMI Singapore a trading-card photobooth for the event. Each attendee was photographed and cast as a project-management character, from Project Manager to Scrum Master, Risk Manager and Program Manager.
Every card carried the attendee’s photo, role and playful stat lines such as Communication, Leadership and Project Planning. Cards were printed on site, sleeved, and linked by QR to a digital version for sharing.

Attendees left with a card they wanted to keep, and the booth gave members a reason to talk to each other between sessions.
We also came away with four practical lessons: add a clear back button, give guests a moment to get ready before the shot, use flash for crisper cards, and offer group shots with a digital copy. All four went straight into the trading-card booth we ran at the SRA Retail Awards Gala 2026.
